NEWS

Students are expected to be enrolled in a Science Research class one period per day for four years and also are expected to take Advanced Placement science classes.  Students have the opportunity to do hands-on research in an outside laboratory, hospital or in industrial setting. This once in a lifetime opportunity is unique for NYC high school students. It helps students to discover their interests, their passion, and to solidify their career goals.

Congratulations to David Guber!

David Guber, JSHS 2017 National Finalist, will be competing in the final round of the Academy of

Applied Science's JSHS Com-petition. He is one of only five students from the NYC Metro area who will be competing, and the first in the history of the FLHS Science Research Program. Congratulations Mr. Guber, and good luck!

Congratulations to Faizullah Mashriqi!

Faizullah Mashriqi, a former research student from the Class of 2013 received a patent for the research he did as a senior.

Congratulations to Riyadh Ally!

Riyadh Ally, ACT-SO 2016 National Finalist, won 1st Place in the Earth & Space Sciences category of the NAACP ACT-SO Competition this past summer.
